From Jay:

“I have visited about 75 countries, but most of those were for cultural experiences, exploring volcanoes, fossil collecting, diving & hiking or general wildlife viewing.  For dedicated herpetology trips, I started with Costa Rica, then added expeditions to Tanzania, Namibia, Madagascar, Ecuador, Peru, Italy, France, Switzerland, and Thailand.  I’ve made six trips to Costa Rica.  I guess I’ve seen reptiles almost everywhere I’ve gone, but don’t think it counts unless I was looking for them and catch them.  Like Komodo Dragons in Indonesia and Anacondas in Brazil.  Hoping enthusiasm and positive attitude makes up for my lack of real experience.”
